Bruna has always been fascinated by the connection between gastrointestinal tract and overall health. The intricate ways in which diet affects well-being continue to fuel her passion for gastrointestinal research. With a PhD in Pharmacology from Federal University of Paraná (Brazil), her research focus was on examining the effect of dietary fiber on improving intestinal inflammation. Currently, her focus is on diet-microbiota interactions, studying adverse reactions to food during inflammatory states. Bruna is motivated to be part of a dynamic research network that fosters interdisciplinary collaboration that not only drives innovative solutions but also enriches both research and personal growth, motivating to build a strong professional network and providing mentorship within her research. Outside the lab, Bruna loves spending time with her curious cat, building LEGO flowers, or looking at the sky following astronauts on their journeys. A perfect balance between exploring new research ideas and wonders of the universe.
