Isaac Santiago Arango Gil is a medical doctor with a strong passion for clinical research. His academic journey at the University of Antioquia has led to active involvement in research groups and both national and international scientific organizations. His foundational work in the Bacterias & Cancer Group has expanded into current projects with the Department of Internal Medicine at the University of Antioquia and the CANHelp Working Group at the University of Alberta. Isaac's motivation stems from his desire to generate new knowledge and give back to society, which he sees as a responsibility tied to his education. He believes that science should not only generate knowledge but also drive positive social change. His passion for mentorship is evident in his work with younger students, helping them navigate the complexities of research and inspiring them to pursue careers in science and medicine.
