Dr. Lisa Reynolds completed her PhD at the University of Edinburgh, UK, in 2012, and then moved to Vancouver to carry out postdoctoral research at the University of British Columbia. Dr. Reynolds joined the University of Victoria to establish her laboratory in 2017. Research in the Reynolds laboratory focuses on the multi-directional interactions between the mammalian immune system and intestine-dwelling organisms including helminths and the bacterial microbiota, with a view to understanding how these interactions affect mammalian health in a variety of inflammatory and infectious disease contexts. Outside of the lab, she likes spending time outside, ideally accompanied by the best dog in the world, Murphy, a Nova Scotia Duck Tolling Retriever.
