am a PhD Candidate in the labs of Yasmin Nasser and Keith Sharkey at the University of Calgary. My project focuses on studying the role of the post-inflammatory microbiota in mediating chronic visceral pain in IBD, with an aim for novel therapeutic targets. My research is driven by both my curiosity and passion for better understanding the unknown, as well as my personal connection to IBD, as I am diagnosed with Ulcerative Colitis. Aside from my research, I am actively involved as a volunteer with Corns and Colitis, helping to advocate for those living with IBD. Outside of the lab, I enjoy reading, baking, boxing, and running!
