I'm a PhD candidate in Dr. Rama Khokha's lab at the University of Toronto, where I get to explore my fascination with stem cells-specifically the "hidden talents" of liver facultative stem cells. My research dives into how the extracellular matrix, sculpted by metalloproteases and their inhibitors (TIMPs), influences whether these cells help or hinder regeneration during biliary disease. When I'm not decoding the liver's regenerative quirks or 3D-imaging organoids (yes, that counts as an academic hobby!), you'll probably find me making music. I love playing the piano and ukulele and posting covers on my YouTube channel. Science by day, music by night-it's all about creativity in different forms.
