Samantha (Sam) Morin completed her Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology at the University of Waterloo and is now pursuing a PhD in Medical Sciences at McMaster University under the supervision of Dr. Joyce Obeid. Her research explores how physical activity is linked to well-being, quality of life, and treatment outcomes in youth with inflammatory bowel disease. Diagnosed with Crohn's disease during her undergraduate studies, Sam's personal experiences drive her passion for being actively involved in research as both a patient and a researcher. She is also a graduate of the Patient and Community Engagement Research (PaCER) program, which has further strengthened her commitment to patient-oriented research. Outside of her studies, Sam can be found practicing yoga or pilates, listening to Taylor Swift, or connecting with the IBD community.
