I'm Ryder, a computational/systems immunologist with over ten years of laboratory experience. Currently, I am applying my knowledge to solve the genetic mechanisms of baby IBD. In the past I have worked on rare diseases, autoinflammation and multiple sclerosis, and my chemistry and bioinformatics background means I'm fascinated with how changes in protein structure causes disease. As well, I'm a proud teacher, with students ranging from our baby daughter Elizabeth all the way to grad students, and I try to build bridges between English and Mandarin Chinese, French, and many other languages. I also run an art Instagram and a music composition YouTube channel.
