Dr. Rabia Khan is a highly esteemed pediatric gastroenterologist with a profound dedication to the health and well-being of children. With a medical career spanning over 18 years, she has garnered extensive experience in diagnosing and managing a wide array of gastrointestinal, liver, and nutritional disorders in infants, children, and adolescents. Dr. Khan completed her residency in Sydney, Australia. She accomplished her Pediatrics and Pediatric Gastroenterology fellowship training at Westmead Children’s Hospital Sydney and Royal Australasian College of Physicians, Australia. Dr Khan then, completed Pediatric Gastroenterology, Hepatology, and Nutrition fellowship training with IBD focus at The Hospital for Sick Children (SickKids) Toronto and The University of Toronto, Canada. She was one of the first TRIANGLE awardees. She has a strong interest in clinical epidemiology with a master’s in clinical epidemiology from university of Newcastle, Australia. She is affiliated with ICES-Health services research and has undertaken various research projects with administrative data. Her work has been published in leading medical journals, contributing valuable insights to the field. Dr. Khan is adept in managing a wide spectrum of conditions, including but not limited to Inflammatory bowel disease (IBD) such as Crohn’s disease and ulcerative colitis, Celiac disease, Gastroesophageal reflux disease (GERD), Chronic constipation, Eosinophilic esophagitis, Liver diseases, feeding difficulties, pancreatic and nutritional disorders. She is passionate about teaching and has taught in different programs at University of Sydney, The Australian National University Canberra and University of Toronto and currently at University of Ottawa. She is actively engaged in professional societies, committees and memberships. Dr Rabia Khan is currently working as Pediatric Gastroenterologist in the Division of Pediatric Gastroenterology, Hepatology and Nutrition at CHEO Ottawa. Outside of her professional life, she is a mom and has two beautiful children and enjoys her life with her dedicated husband and little family in Ottawa.
