Kwestan is a PhD candidate in Experimental Medicine at the University of British Columbia, focused on understanding the mechanisms that drive intestinal fibrosis in Crohn's disease. Her research is driven by a passion for science and a personal connection, as her brother lives with Crohn's. Alongside her research, she's committed to teaching and mentoring, finding fulfillment in guiding others through their scientific journeys. Outside the lab, she enjoys hiking Vancouver's scenic trails, experimenting with new recipes, and brewing her own kombucha.
