Presenter Biography:
Linda Pires earned her Hon. BSc in Immunology at the University of Toronto in 2003. She then dove into the Division of Immunology and Allergy at SickKids Hospital. Here she took on the roles of Divisional Administrative Lead, Research Program Manager, and Centre Manager for the Canadian Centre for Primary Immunodeficiency. During this time Linda managed clinical research projects, trails, training programs and research programs for various stakeholders in the immunodeficiency family. Linda then joined the SickKids Learning Institute where she configured the Conference Management Centre that continues to be a successful resource for staff at SickKids. In 2015 Linda took on the role of Program Manager of the Canadian Child Heath Clinician Scientist Program that transitioned into ENRICH (Empowering Next-generation Researcher In Perinatal Child Health). In late 2024 she joined TRIANGLE as the Program Manager and is excited to be working with this new team. Linda is blissfully bananas with her husband, Ari, and two children, Evelyn (14 yrs) and Gavin (12 yrs). She is passionate about singing, dancing, cleaning, and (of course) her family.
