As an undergraduate in Applied Biology, my academic journey is fueled by a profound interest in nutritional microbiology, animal welfare, and exploring food insecurity beyond Western contexts. I'm deeply passionate about leveraging South Asia's cultural perspectives to enhance the broader framework of food systems, aiming to bolster accessibility, sustainability, and availability regarding food security challenges. The research I conducted in the Mayengbam lab at Memorial University particularly studied the impact of B Vitamins on the production of SCFAs in rats. Outside my academic pursuits, I enjoy capturing moments through photography and expressing myself through art. I'm keen on exploring avenues to fuse these creative passions with STEAM-based initiatives, envisioning innovative projects that bridge science, technology and art.
