Hi! I'm Megan - a first-year medical student at the University of Montreal driven by a love for research, people, and the outdoors. My research in Dr von Renteln's lab at the Montreal University Hospital Center focuses on evaluation of artificial intelligence (AI)-powered technologies for improved characterization of precancerous lesions during gastrointestinal endoscopy. As a future clinician and aspiring researcher, I strive to work towards improving early detection, care, and outcomes for gastrointestinal cancers. Outside my passion for gastroenterology and clinical research, I'm energized by outdoor adventures, visual arts, and - of course - great coffee. You'll find me out surfing in Montreal's rapids, in the ocean, taking long walks with friends, or checking out new coffee spots. I'm a keen traveler and long-distance hiker.
