Dr. Martin Stahl is a senior scientist at STEMCELL Technologies and is the intestinal team lead for Research and Development. Martin received a PhD in Microbiology at the University of Ottawa and conducted his postdoctoral research with Dr. Bruce Vallance at the University of British Columbia (UBC) and the BC Children's Hospital Research Institute, where he studied infection and immunity in the gut. Martin has a great deal of experience with intestinal organoid models and at STEMCELL technologies he has been deeply involved in the development of the IntestiCult™ product line and other organoid platforms. One of Martin's continuing research interests has been in finding new ways of employing organoids in novel assays and applications.
