Marcia Bruce is a Patient and Community Engagement Researcher dedicated to using person-centred research evidence to inform and enhance healthcare planning, policy, and practice. She has contributed to research projects related to digestive health, chronic pain, nephrology and women’s health, using primarily qualitative, patient-oriented research methods grounded in implementation science. As a person living with celiac disease, Marcia is an active patient advocate who strives to raise awareness and improve the lives of others diagnosed with celiac disease. She is also a mom to three kids and an avid vegetable gardener whose rural roots inspire her to try to grow as much food as possible on her small city lot each season.
