I'm a third-year undergraduate student in the Integrated Science program at UBC, specializing in neuroscience and immunology. My passion for science is driven by curiosity and desire to contribute meaningfully to the scientific community. This summer, I'm exploring the relationship between gut health and brain function through a research project focused on host-microbiome interactions in inflammatory bowel disease (IBD). I will learn a range of experimental techniques to study how the gut microbiome influences host health. I hope to continue my studies in graduate school and build a career in research. Outside the lab, I volunteer at the UBC Food Bank, where I help address food insecurity and raise awareness about the challenges students face in accessing resources. In my free time, I love hiking and spending time in nature, as well as being with my friends and family.
