In 2021, I was diagnosed with ulcerative colitis. After navigating this disease as a patient, I wanted to learn more about it, sparking my interest in medical research as well as a passion for improving the quality of life for those who live with IBD every day. I studied medical sciences at Western University and hope to pursue a career in medicine. I am currently a pediatric gastroenterology research student with London Children's Hospital. I am also a volunteer with Crohn's and Colitis Canada, where I get to help bring awareness to the community. Outside of academics, I enjoy working out, baking, and experimenting with new recipes. I'm excited to be part of this team and learn from others who are also committed to making a difference in IBD care.
