I am a second-year medical student at the University of Toronto with a growing interest in clinically meaningful research. This summer I am focusing on pediatric celiac disease, with an emphasis on improving early diagnosis. I am particularly drawn to research that translates into real-world impacts and positively impacts how patients experience care. My motivation for research stems from a desire to contribute to care that is both evidence-based and human-centered. I value mentorship, collaborative environments and am always seeking new opportunities to learn and challenge myself. In my free time, I enjoy going to the gym, catching up on my favourite TV shows and long-distance running. I recently ran my first half marathon and am now looking at the full 42 kms. I also enjoy traveling and trying new restaurants. I strive to bring the same curiosity and discipline from these pursuits into my academic and clinical work.
