Ashley Hyde is a Registered Nurse and Assistant Professor in the Faculty of Nursing at the University of Alberta. She completed her PhD in 2019, which was followed by a postdoctoral fellowship in the Faculty of Medicine & Dentistry under the supervision of Dr. Puneeta Tandon, a transplant hepatologist. Ashley joined the Faculty of Nursing in 2024. Ashley's research program focuses on using mixed-methods approaches to evaluate digital health interventions to improve the health and well-being of individuals living with chronic diseases (including inflammatory bowel disease and cirrhosis). She is driven by her clinical experiences as a nurse and caring for family members with chronic health conditions. Outside of work, Ashley enjoys spending time with her husband and young daughter. She is interested in mentoring emerging health services researchers on patient-oriented research, implementation science, knowledge mobilization, and intervention development/evaluation.
